2010 Tournament

This year we will host the 11th Annual Donna Hopkins "Hoop It Up for Breast Cancer" Basketball Tournament September 24-26, 2009. Donna Hopkins, the founder, will conduct the tournament with support from the Montgomery County Recreation Department, the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Tournament Rules

Unsportsman like conduct (profanity, trash talking, arguing with officials, etc.) will not be tolerated. Any players displaying this kind of behavior will be given a warning or immediately ejected, depending on the severity of the act. Fighting will result in an immediate ejection. Any ejected player will be required to sit out the first half of his/her team’s next game. Fighting may result in disqualification from further participation in the tournament.

Representatives available to answer questions


Throughout the tournament breast cancer literature will be available for the public. Health professionals and other representatives from various hospitals and other organizations will be on hand to answer any questions about breast cancer detection and treatment.

Join Us for a Weekend of Fun -- Admission is Free to Public

There will be free drawings, raffles and a lot more. Throughout the tournament there will be guest appearances by various sports celebrities.
